The Bass Space: Profiles of Classic Electric Basses

Description:

The long-awaited, definitive book for lovers of the low-end. Willie G. Moseley, Senior Writer for Vintage Guitar Magazine, profiles more than 100 historic and unique electric bass models from such makers as Alembic, Danelectro, Fender, Gibson, Gretsch, Guild, Hamer, Kramer, Rickenbacker, and many others. Reviews:

2.0 out of 5 stars sadly incomplete and utterly sluggish

D. · 21 January 2019

I don't know how Moseley picked the bass manufacturers for his book, but the ommisions are just criminal...no Fodera, K.Smith, BC Rich, Spector, Status, Hofner, E.Ball Music Man ...let alone Framus, S D Curlee, Lado, Veillete Citron, ZON, Overwater, Dingwal. I must say I am not impressed by his articles either, nor by the lay out of the book. Stick to Tony Bacon/Moorhouse. Missed opportunity

Excellent!!!

I liked the book very informative

Overall nice book

J.K. · 1 January 2023

Nice hardcover book with lots of basses. Some rarer than others. Very superficial information for each entry and not as many photos as I would have liked. But being a bass fanatic, I may be harder to please than the average reader.
