My daughter really enjoys these books. This one is packed with gruesome and funny stories from the Ancient Greek time period. The comedy and shock value interests children whilst accompanying their school learning and understanding of history

The display shows text overlap images thus becoming un readable. Has to read on a tablet or pc. Needs attention. As do many books in the series.

Surprised that nobody took the effort to check how this reads in the kindle App. Text and pictures overlayed. Poor show

The story about child murder might upset some children and is maybe a bit too horrible even if it was only planned and failed (story of Cypselus; plus the story of Cronus eating his own son). It also seemed a bit negative about Greek democracy focusing on who was excluded, which is fair but perhaps incomplete. It had some good points and in many ways is a good text to get started.
