As someone with VERY sensitive skin, eliminating harmful chemicals from my skin care regime is my goal. And this book with its easy- to-follow recipes is how I intend to reach that goal.

This is seriously the most amazing book on homemade cosmetics that I've ever read. A lot of books give you amazing recipes but they require you to use weird ingredients and techniques, which is discouraging if you want to prepare something quickly and easily. On the other hand, some recipe books make it so easy that you end up with the most basic and bland ingredients for your concoctions. I needed a book that a) has plenty of recipes to choose from, b) has easy and delicious recipes, c) gives recipes for stuff that will last a while (it's less costly than having to spend £2 pounds on fruit etc. whenever you want to make a hair mask). And you get it all here. I literally want to try all those recipes at once, because they sound so delicious and because they're so easy. All aspects of your daily beauty routine are covered so whatever your skin or hair type and condition you are troubled by, you will find something hassle-free here to implement right away.What I find very appealing too is the clear design of the book. It may sound strange but it's important for me to get to the point of the matter quickly without having to read a lot to find out what it is I have to do. The author writes everything you need, she doesn't bother you with irrelevant info. If you want to dig deeper into the subject of natural beauty you can find other books but if you want to be able to switch to a completely natural beauty routine straight away, this book is totally 'it'. I'm not judging the paper or other such stuff that someone mentioned, there's no point to do it because it's a personal matter for every reviewer. But in terms of what you get out of this book, it doesn't get much better. And yeah, like another reviewer wrote, I'm running to try out those recipes, and pronto.

Firstly this was a present. I just wanted to make that clear. What it could make this book better is to put accurate meassurements. I am not fond of recipes that use "1 cup" or "1 spoonful" because in my case, things come out either too dry, mushy, etc. Be aware with some recipes using mashed banana for your hair... don't do it! Either the author never used this recipe in herself or she has very short hair, but this was a disastrous thing, with me spending over 20 mins with my head under the running water trying to get rid of the banana clumps on my hair. Horrible! and the supposed effect? Didn't worth all the pain... in fact, I nearly blocked my drain... so be aware, the recipes sound good in theory, but I am sure most of them haven't been tested.

The most cheaply made book I've ever seen! Browsing the pages is a pain, since they are not evenly cut. The content is Lacking explanation of the science behind the particular combinations. The recipes are made using 3-4 ingredients which is good, but they are lacking information how to store the prepared products and the measurements are in cups, spoons, etc. Also there are no pictures whatsoever. This book's worth is no more than £1-2. I believe the positive reviews are made by friends of the authour, there is no other way to explain how someone can like a book that is clearly made without much effort.

I find it very useful and it has tons of information for what I needed. I decided to buy so I can have my own copy. It's worth a penny. Highly recommended.

Si lo que buscas es mascarillas de un uso este libro es para ti. Sin embargo yo estaba buscando mas recetas de productos que pudiera enfrascar y tener a la mano. Casi el 80% del libro son recetas de un uso.

Zum Inhalt kann ich noch nix sagen, will es eigentlich verschenken, aber in der Qualität geht das eigentlich nicht.Der Umschlag ist ok, aber die Einlagen sehen aus wie einzeln handgeschnitten.Vielleicht stand das in der Buchbeschreibung und ist so gedacht, muß mir dann entgangen sein.sieht jedenfalls ziemlich schäbig aus.
