About the Author
Kathleen King is the owner and baker at the popular Tate's Bake shop in Southampton, New York. She is also the author of TATE'S BAKE SHOP COOKBOOK.
Roger Priddy's love for children's early learning has led him to create some of publishing's most successful children's non-fiction books, including Priddy Books' million-copy bestsellers, My Big Animal Book and Happy Baby Words.
Roger says:
"It is always rewarding to see a child enjoying and learning something from one of our books, especially babies, when you think it could be the first book they have ever seen.
"I am very lucky to have a career where you get to think up fun ways to teach a kid how to write their letters and learn their first words, whilst finding out about Dinosaurs at the same time!"
Roger lives with his wife, Zena, in London and Cork, Ireland. They have four children, who have given him most of his best ideas for his books.

Gorgeous book with a huge BUT...it's American. Farenheit instead of Celsius, cups instead of grams, heavy (cream) instead of double and I still don't know what all purpose flour is! So on and so forth!
The recipes are easy to follow and delicious
I use this book with my son who is almost 2. He can't read yet or measure anything but he really likes following along and dumping the ingredients in the bowl and mixing. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious, and I like how they are rated by how complex they are. The cornbread recipe particularly is moist and excellent.

Easy recipes for young cooks. My favorite part is the book stands up on its own, so you can read the recipe as you cook. These ladies that authored this book have a very successful bakery in the Hamptons.

My 8yr old loves this cookbook! She has made several of the recipes now and delivers the sweets to some of our neighbors...needless to say, the book has been a hit in our neighborhood!

I'm very pleased with the book. However, I am disappointed with the recipies. I was hoping for more recipies that a 5 year old would like to make. It's not a total loss. I like the recipies and will probably wait until my niece is a little older before we bake more than chocolate chip cookies and cake mixes. The book itself is well made and great for sticky fingers. Pages are easily cleaned off. Now I'm going to make the pineapple upside down cake.
