Written especially at the request of the 3rd Order of Franciscans, it is packed with wisdom and information, and refuses to be just another introduction to Francis. It has references to Brother Ramon's personal life of faith, and draws on that of others too.An excellent book, and one that is worth re-reading many times.

This book was written with the third order in mind, so for a person interested in becoming a Franciscan it is a good book to read. The first part of the book is a bit heavy with lots of references but some of the later chapters are really good and inspiring. I would recommend it.

I chose this book to discover in greater depth the life, philosophy and faith of St Francis. We, who are interested in the Third Order of St Francis are read this again and again, as we try to develop our lives with the guidance of St Francis toward a greater knowledge of Jesus Christ.This is of interest to the general reader who wishes to learn about the mediaeval saint, and highly recommended. The used paperback is a good buy.

An easy account on a spiritual journey along the lines of St. Francis. Can be read again and again to get fresh insights on the practical ideas in being in tune with the \infinite.

It's not for everyone, but those seeking a modern understanding of St. Francis, his brave willingness to go to any length to identify with, experience the pain of his master, Jesus. A necessary addition to the library of anyone who has the desire to have the faith of Jesus. A must read for anyone considering exploring any of the orders of the Friars Minor.
