Since winning 2015's Great British Bake Off in a finale watched by over 13 million viewers, Nadiya Hussain has become a national treasure. She has presented many of her own BBC2 cookery series to great acclaim, with episodes reaching on average 1.9 million viewers each week.
Born in Luton to British Bangladeshi parents, Nadiya now lives in Milton Keynes with her husband, Abdal, and their three children. She was awarded an MBE in 2020 for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts. Her bestselling cookery titles include Nadiya Bakes, Time to Eat, Nadiya's Fast Flavours and Nadiya's Simple Spices.

I bought it for the pictures. Or, I mean I can't buy a cookbook that doesn't have photos. Decent pics, decent recipes. No regrets, I can recommend with the reservation that you should be a more ambitious cook than me. Or at least, more keen cook than me. I'll only use two or three recipes per year. Is that good use from a book? I'm not sure.

Such a lovely book. As an avid cook it has lots of things I haven't seen before and there are loads of things I want to try. I've already bookmarked about 15! I The first thing I made (Tofu curry) was absolutely delicious and not difficult at all. Nadiya is such a treasure. You can tell she wrote this book from her heart and I can't believe people backed out of partnerships with her when she announced she was going to publish a book relating to Islamic cuisine and Ramadan. Shame on them. This is a beautiful book.

Pre-ordered this as soon as I saw it was coming out. Love Nadiyah’s recipes and style amd the illustrations are beautiful. Delighted to see that it had recipes from all sorts of Islamic cultures, which is great for varying family meals too. A perfect mix that’s sure to be a hit with all foodies, regardless of whether they celebrate Ramadan. A highly recommended purchase!
