The illustrations in this book are really good and each picture has information about the bird that is illustrated. I think adults as well as some children would enjoy owning this .Bought as a gift for someone so it was nice that the cover is also attractive and decorative. .

This is a wonderful book that children and adults alike will love. There are a zillion bird birds, but this one is unique in its mission to present particularly odd or uniquely interesting species. The photos are excellent, and the production quality is first rate.

I used this book for my 3-5th graders at our co-op for my Birding for Young Naturalists class and the kids loved looking through it and reading interesting facts. It was a good reference book. Not much text, but there are pages about feathers, owls, or birds of prey that went into more depth which reinforced what we learned that day.
