Simply buy it, this is clearly a professional book on first aid, priced fairly you need this at home. Not just to put with your first aid kit. Read it get used to the everyday emergencies that crop up, browse the rest, will help you get confident in what you may need to do in emergencies.

Brought to compliment a course I have done, recommended by the instructor and is comprehensive while simple to follow. This now lives with my first aid kit so I can refer to it if needed, and knowing I have this to help is a good comfort. The book itself is easy to understand and well laid out. It covers most of the problems that could arise that would not require an air ambulance and a miracle.It was a panic buy but a good one.I had a bad night where a 111 phone call escalated through the night to a 999 'ambulance on the way' for viral meningitis then someone called and cancelled the ambulance telling me to walk to my GP surgery when it opened in about 3 hours. I live over 5 miles from my GP and use a shopping trolley as a walker to get round the supermarket.It has left me very aware of how vulnerable I am.I have no medical qualifications past the most basic first aid so I want to have something to turn to in the event of anything...
