I bought this after I lost my husband. It was a great help.
A Personal Guidebook of Personal Grief
"Think You’'ll Be Happy" is a warm and welcomed surprise. Ms. Avant speaks from the heart in dealing with the tragic, sudden and heartbreaking loss of her Mother. Her emotions are raw, you feel her pain. You also understand her forgiveness for this unforgivable sin. That’s the best part of this breezy read. I bought two copies along with audio. (People can’t take my audio book.) Both hardbound books were picked up by friends who wanted to finish after they read the first chapter. Early Christmas gifts. The author shares personal details with such candor you cannot help but tear up a few times. I did. That’s what a good book does, it reaches the reader emotionally.Sadly in America today this story is not a unique one, Nicole Avant does a unique job in making you understand how such a heinous act must not control your life going forward. The bad guys can’t win. Inner strength, both personal and spiritual are the key to dealing with such profound grief. It was two years ago today Jacqueline Avant was killed in sanctuary of her own home. The world has been little less ever since. This is a book you’ll read and share with someone you know. Because we all know someone who is struggling.December 1, 2023
more than grief.
This book was so much more than about grief. It is about life. I can’t thank Nicole enough for writing a book that truly makes you look at your life and think. While also reminding you to live fully. A book like this would make any mother proud and I’m sure her mother is. This was a very inspiring book all the way through.
