About the Author
Bobbie Lloyd is the CEO and Chief Baking Officer at Magnolia Bakery, where she has played an integral role in expanding the bakery from its original location in New York City’s West Village to more than 40 global locations. She brings the homemade essence of Magnolia Bakery for customers through the creation and development of new recipes and perfection of old favorites. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Lloyd began her epicurean journey at eight with her first cooking class. She cultivated this interest through her formal education at Chef's and Company in Boston and working in restaurants. Throughout her career she has been involved in all aspects of the restaurant and bakery business, and authored her first cookbook, The Magnolia Bakery Handbook, in 2020. She lives in New York City.

good book
My New Favorite Dessert Book
I was looking for a dessert to bring to a party and came across this book. Familiar with Magnolia Bakery’s reputation I ordered the book. There was only one problem all of the recipes sounded so good I had a hard time choosing one. I decided on the Peanut Butter Icebox Pie since most people love chocolate and peanut butter. The pie was easy to make and assemble. Everyone at the party raved about it and it was the first dessert to go. I tried a small piece and it was delicious, just the perfect blend of chocolate and peanut butter. I will definitely make other recipes from this book. I like the fact that the author included cheesecakes, especially mini cheesecakes in this book. If you’re looking for an a dessert to impress that’s easy to make and that transports well then you should consider this book.
Wow! Looks amazing, sounds amazing, cant wait to try them all
I always get roped into taking a desert to my friends get togethers. Kinda fed up looking for something different to take each time from a store. I saw this on TV yesterday and ordered it. EVERY SINGLE ONE looks and sounds delicious. Doesnt help I have such a sweet tooth as I am sure to be trying them all first.The book quality and layout is beautiful the photos are amazing. I might be getting this for Xmas pressies for a few people this year.

Love me some magnolia bakery
I got the first book for a Christmas present when it first came out… this time. I made sure to get it…. It definitely have some new recipe especially the cheesecake one that was the one I was waiting the most for.. The book is nicely made… and go so well with the first one. I don’t keep a lot of recipe books on hand just because these day you can find them online. I use them as display, but also use them as recipes…. I love baking, and I made a few already and they turned out pretty well.
Great cookbook that arrived with scuff marks
My book arrived with black scuffs around the edges of the front cover. For being brand new, it should not have had this issue. But the inside was pristine so I can't argue with that. It has lots of great recipes with pictures. I made the strawberry pie---the glaze took A LOT of time--many steps to make it. So I have a new appreciation of that pie. I thought the glaze could be brighter--perhaps a little more lemon juice next time.
