Last year I gave the book one of my grandchildren - currently a bit of a wild child is looking for happiness in the world, but struggling to find it. My hope is for her to read Hear Yourself, and through the words of Prem Rawat, to understand that the peace she is seeking, is inside her and always will be.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book for our times
I love it when a book touches the deepest part of me - and this one really does - so much ‘life wisdom’ within the pages - this excerpt really resonated with me: “The opposite of clarity is confusion, and one of the most potent sources of confusion is worrying. Let’s think about language again. The historical root of the word “worry” comes from the old English word “wyrgan”, which originally meant “to strangle”. Later the sense evolved to mean “seize by the throat and tear” like wolves ‘worrying’ prey. Fear gets us right by the throat - that point in our body were air flows into us. We can worry away our joy of life when we should be celebrating it with each breath. Bring in clarity - and, once again, we start to embrace life, just as life embraces us.” (excerpt from page 48)This is truly a wonderful book full of wisdom that helped point me towards a source of peace within myself - much needed in these troubling times! It helped me to understand that much of the 'noise' that troubles me comes from within myself, and thanks to this book I am now aware that the source of peace is also within me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone should read this book - It can help you through these chaotic times.
I am ashamed to say but it's only recently have I heard of Prem Rawat - One of the worlds most famous but at the same time little known ambassador's for PEACE. His personal story and his own journey through life is incredible. He is today's human Role Model, a man who talks the talk and walks the walk. His mission is to show us how every human being can find their own Peace. It is a journey we all need to take, the journey within. If we change ourselves we change the world - one human being at a time. To quote Prem; "It's not that the world has problems -it's the people in the world that have problems. Change the people and we change the world. We have to start with ourselves first.
5.0 out of 5 stars Always gives me a lift
It doesn't matter what sort of day I am having, whenever I start reading any part of this book it immediately connects with the part of me that matters, with the part of me that is the real me. And the real me is always looking for hope, happiness and contentment, so the book reminds me of my true nature and that is very important in today's increasingly crazy world.Almost everything I read, hear or see via the various media leads me away from true contentment, so this book is invaluable because it leads me towards it. Thank you!
5.0 out of 5 stars Total game-changer
This book is a wonderful read, pointing to that part of myself that needs peace in my life no matter what. I have been practising the Self-Knowledge that Prem writes about for 43 years and it has never let me down. I shall practise it until my dying day.
A must-read book and life-changing ✨🌸

Wonderful Expression of Loving Life...
Believe me, “Hear Yourself” by Prem Rawat is amazing. I have never read a book like that before. I must admit, I read it as fast as I could, could hardly stop for doing anything else.—What Prem Rawat is telling here, I wanted to completely dive into it.Of course, “Hear Yourself: How to Find Peace in a Noisy World” is a lot more but just a self-help book. It’s a wonderful expression of appreciating life, loving human mankind, understanding the secret of nature, and encountering the divine power everywhere.I guess, each reader will take his or her own approach, make his or her own journey when going through the chapters. The experiences, thoughts and feelings of Prem Rawat, they are addressing many, many aspects of life. So, everybody might see for him- or herself.—Enjoy!
Hear Yourself
Absolutely nothing I read in this book was new ... and I was expecting at least one thing to be new which would have made it worthwhile. However, even tho what I saw was repetitious in the extreme, this was perhaps a good thing if the ideas were new or explained in on a way that was more insightful than what I had read before. I think Eknath Easwaran covers the territory better in a number of books ... and gives more definite steps to achieve what is basically the same thing. He breaks the matter up into a predefined number of steps and, if you follow them, you can't help but be on your way. My favorite of his books is 'Take Your Time'. One of Ram Dass' books is also surprisingly good - 'Polishing the Mirror'.
