I have this book by my bedside, and read it on a regular basis. I find it very useful for keeping my tendency to grumble in check, reminding me to focus on what's really important. I also like the descriptions of the author's road trip and visits to sacred places. I am familiar with the author;s work on co dependency, which I found helpful many years ago, and find this book a useful companion for everyday life.I added the original copy of the book I bought to the library of teaching books I keep for the class of (aromatherapy) students who are recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. They are very drawn to the book, and will often seek it out. Some have commented that they find it better than One Day at a Time, which is the book of daily meditations used in the AA and NA recovery programmes. I have the One day.... from Al-Anon, and agree that this one is less preachy, more empathic. I have another Hazelden daily meditation publication, called The Promise of a New Day, but Journey to the Heart is undoubtedly my favourite. I've lost count of the number of copies I have purchased for my students over the years. They don't even mind paying full price for it!

A beautiful book that my acupuncturist uses after a session. I love it so much that I bought my own. The first one arrived with cuts and tears out of it and of course Bolo returns for Ireland are SO difficult that you have to pay for it yourself, they claim to offer money back - until you try and then they don't answer emails.So the quality could be better, I got a better second version. Fabulous meditations for those days when you need inspiration (all the time) and for days when you don't feel like doing oracle cards. Highly recommended.

Beautiful page-a-day book which has absolutely changed my morning routine. My day is always better when I start by reading the wisdom for that day. I was given it by a friend, and I've gifted it several times more. High quality content, thoughtfully presented. Best spiritual/self help book I have read to date

I adore this book. Beautifully written, and I am in no doubt that on my dark days it gets me through with the beautiful dose of positivity it gives me and life affirming prose. The author really takes you on a journey and I can feel her spirit in the pages. Would make a wonderful gift - I am going to buy all of my friends one.

I've bought this book approx. 6 years ago. I read it every night before going to sleep. When I finish it, I start again and have a message for myself every day. They are inspiring, especially at the end of the day before going to sleep. You will find the messages are for everyone and they are not rocket science but we do forget how we could enrich our life with simple things. The book is a great reminder! I often hear messages from this book in my yoga class as well.

Ich war anfangs etwas skeptisch, weil ich schon viele Bücher gekauft hatte, die meditativ wirken sollten, aber für mich nicht hilfreich waren. Dieses Buch unterscheidet sich von anderen sehr. Es ist zwar Englisch, aber wirklich gut verständlich, auch wenn man nicht perfekt englisch beherrscht. Es ist für jeden Tag im Jahr ein Abschnitt vorhanden, der täglich gelesen werden kann. Es ist mittlerweile zu meiner täglichen Routine geworden, morgens zu meinem Kaffee meine „Daily Meditation“ zu lesen. Es regt immer wieder zum nachdenken an und tut der Seele gut.
