5.0 out of 5 stars A great introduction to Kbeauty

This was my introduction to K beauty and the 10 step routine and my skin has definitely improved since following the methodology. You don't actually have to do all 10 steps or use specifically Korean products but the book explains the reason behind each step.As well as an introduction to Korean skincare, the book has a lot of funny anecdotes and a useful culture section if you ever feel inspired to go to Seoul, which i referred to a lot when planning my trip there. I had the ebook of this for ages and bought the physical copy to lend to friends and family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing & so insightful! I'm hooked!

N.G. · 23 March 2018

I have been suffering with hormonal acne for coming up to 8 years now, And I can positively say that I have tried EVERYTHING - both medication recommended by doctors and natural remedies by friends. I briefly saw Korean skin care mentioned on an online forum a couple of months ago and, since all else failed, I began to look into it. The first thing I did was buy this book. If you are curious about Korean skin care then this book is your bible. It will be VERY confusing and overwhelming without this knowledge! The author Charlotte Cho is so lovely. She herself also suffers with hormonal acne and looks amazing. She also has a YouTube channel for her Korean skin care line SokoGlam. I finished this read in 1 sitting, ever since it I've been hooked!Korean skin care routine put nourishing and caring for your skin, even troubled skin like mine, at the heart. Treat your skin like your best friend and do not punish it. If you're sceptical, get the book! It's worth it, trust me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought it would be more substantial for the price

Ordered for Christmas as was asked for by daughter, very small for the money though, can't comment on contents as this is what she asked for

5.0 out of 5 stars great book! many tips on how to maintain youthful skin!

L.O. · 6 March 2016

Very informative and easy to understand. There is a step by step guide on why and how to improve your skin care routine and which products best suit different skin types. Made me realise I need to change a lot about my skin care routine! It also teaches about Korean spa culture and their outlook on the importance of skin care too.The book is well laid out, easy to read (chapters aren't too long) and has really cute illustrations. 5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable little book with some great tips

S. · 3 April 2018

I doubt very few of us have the time every morning for the 10 step face ritual. Mine is a 5 step ritual with the same products I have always used (face wash, toner, oil, sun factor and moisturiser) and instead of using control wool I use my palms. I noticed a positive difference after only a fortnight. She has quite a bit of knowledge and it’s a book I find myself dipping into from time. She explains why to do or use something rather than listing products and has western alternatives. Her personal stories are very cute as well are the drawings and I find myself smiling at her scenarios. Bit pricey but it is a hardback, glossy looking and if you enjoy anything to do with beauty then this may be the book to add to your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great intro to Korean skincare...

T. · 14 May 2016

I enjoyed reading this book more than I thought I would. Most skincare books are rather dry, I find, but Charlotte Cho's writing style is great. Granted, most skincare books can't really address the "Lost in Translation" / cultural shock aspect that makes this book about Korean skincare so entertaining... but still.I read a lot about the 10-step Korean skincare regime online, and this book is perfect for someone who wants to learn more. You will get to know why skincare companies flourish in countries such as South Korea, and enjoy learning about the country's culture along the way.

3.0 out of 5 stars Caused me under chin breakages!

E. · 3 June 2017

Beware - this book's recommendations may affect your skin in negative way.In my case the 10 step skincare routine did not work, but opposite, it caused some huge and unpleasant under chin breakages. It got so bad, that I had to use prescribed antibiotics to heal. The book is lovely to read and funny at times. It does have lots of tips and recommendations on ingredients and what Korean beauty stuff actually mean.Just make sure you understand your skin needs, intense cleansing may damage your natural skin barrier!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little book

B. · 6 May 2018

As someone who has recently developed an interest in Korean Skincare I must say I really enjoyed this book. It has great information about the famous 10 step routine and a good explanation of the types of products used in the routine depending on your skin type. I love that the author has included events and experiences from her own life and struggles with skincare, which gives a more personal, empathetic touch to the book. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in taking a better care of their skin. I will definitely give her advice a try.

Súper recomendado!

Amei o livro!

Nice!
