I bought this for my 6 year old grandson there are definitely puzzles in there that he can do a few of them maybe a little tricky but good value

My first thought was - What does Coolest Animals mean? Really it's extraordinary animals - biggest, tallest, the way they use camouflage etc. I guess "extraordinary" was too long to fit on the cover. The age range is given as 7+, which I think is right as younger children will need help with some of the puzzles - e.g. the crosswords.The book is split into five sections - Spots and Stripes; Cool Colours; Super-Fast; Biggest Beasts; Camouflage. Importantly, solutions to the puzzles are included at the back of the book.The puzzles include - crosswords, sudokus, word searc, mazes, spot the difference (these are hard!), guess what (multiple choice questions), close-ups, word jumbles and word wheels. Not all puzzles are included in each section.There are beautiful photographs of a large variety of animals throughout the book from Blue-Banded Bees to African Bush ElephantsOverall - great puzzle book full of fascinating facts, ideal for a rainy afternoon or long car journey.

The media could not be loaded. A colourful book filled with puzzles, facts, and pictures of the coolest of cool animals.Every conceivable type of puzzle is here; word searches, crosswords, mazes, and sudoku to name a few.The pictures are vibrantly glossy, and the facts are informative. You can pick up puzzle magazines for the same price as this book and in my opinion, it's far higher quality.Great to keep kids occupied on car trips or of an afternoon.

I got these for our camping trip to keep our 6 year old entertained. It's good quality, the pages are thick enough and with brilliant colours and pictures. The puzzles are in the form of crosswords, surplus, wordsearches, Mazes, spot the difference, guess what, word jumbles, mazes, close-ups, and works wheels. Plenty of puzzles to choose from. Our child can work from the easiest puzzle to the more complicated one such us soduko so he might go through this as he grows older.

This offers a wide range of puzzles, activities and information for not a lot of money. It’s keeping a 9-year-old well-occupied. He’s enjoying the challenges and learning lots of new stuff.It’s about 19 x 15 cms and less than 1 cm thick, hence eminently portable for use on journeys. There’s a wide range of puzzles such as word searches, mazes, animal identification, sudokus and crosswords, with plenty of colour and photos. Answers are at the end of the book.Some pages are rather dark and difficult to write on. We feel that pages such as ‘word jumbles’ (anagrams) should have dedicated white space for writing answers. That’s a minor point, however. This is one of the best puzzle books for age around 9-11 and we’ve already ordered the ‘dogs’ version for a forthcoming 8-hour flight.

This book kept my nine year old entertained and she really enjoyed using it. It’s a good little book - very useful for car journeys.Would recommend.

We are all interested in cool animals, but what this book is really about is a small number of puzzles. Using scattered, large print in a small format book prohibits having much content. Some of the crossword puzzles answers and anagrams are beyond what I would expect most children to know. I do not feel that the puzzles match the age range of the educational content. The sudoku puzzles, seem completely out of place in this book.None of our children wanted to do more than glance at this book. I think that it is a suitable diversion for journeys, but not something that I would recommend as a gift.

This book has a good range of puzzles: sudoku, crosswords, find the difference, mazes, wordsearches and quizzes so your child should find something they like within these pages. Colourful, well presented and a handy size to pop in a bag. Can recommend with pleasure. Five stars.
