Really made me laugh. A great page turner. Now please can you write another

4.0 out of 5 stars A light hearted thriller with a rather abrupt ending.

L. · 13 April 2025

Good fun but I struggled with the premise that this was being narrated/written by a dead man. Not as good as HTKYF, in my view but still fun.I found the last chapter a bit odd but I thought the ending was good!

3.0 out of 5 stars What really happens next?

A.C. · 28 March 2025

Great idea for a storyline, everyone wants to know what's next. Never met anyone in real life who could be as awful as this family!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another brilliant offering sure to make a Netflix production.

I loved How To Kill Your Family, I read a lot and it was one of the most thought provoking unique books I've ever read so I have been looking forward to Bellas second book immensely. What A Way To Go is another corker, a darkly funny look into people's obsession with money and class and how they are very different things. It is very current too in the observations about social media and true crime and how the two put together aren't necessarily a good thing, especially for the police. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would as I thought it was utterly enthralling and is sure to stay with me for a long time just like the authors debut did.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.5*

I enjoyed the book mainly but not entirely. It has a very strong start, immediately thought the characters were interesting but it wasn’t quite the mystery I’d hoped, I was hoping the characters would all make more sense… (spoiler next)The sleuth… felt like she could/should have been more involved. Her character was really annoying and her motivation didn’t make sense. There was a brief sentence on how she believed her dad to be murdered but no sense whether that was or wasn’t the case. It’s alright though, maybe I was expecting too much. Not read the authors first book but may give it a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it

She’s done it again! That was a brilliant and really fun read with an unexpected ending, can’t wait for Bella’s next one.

3.0 out of 5 stars No likeable characters

g. · 10 November 2024

Somehow I made my way through. It was a good premise with a disappointing end. Told in a hard to believe way, you never know what’s true and as you go on, you realise none of them are likeable. I read how to kill your family first and felt the same way. It is just wealth bashing all the way through. Very much a sour taste from the author. I won’t be buying another book from her unless she writes about something else and at least gives us one character to like.

4.0 out of 5 stars a very clever book

j. · 7 January 2025

This had me gripped from the first page; awful characters that are great to hate, just waiting for them all to turn on each other and with any luck finish each other off!!

surprise after surprise

I wll be fascinated to see more

Very inventive -

S. · 17 March 2025

And a healthy imagination and some humor. Overall, just a bit too much for my reading taste - I became a bit bored….

Needs editing

C. · 8 November 2024

I'm half way through and the syntax and grammatical errors are irritating and affecting my enjoyment...please fix.
